counting down to summer

This is the first school year that I am on a teacher's schedule - when the teachers are off I am off. So, I am having end of the year issues - I want the year to be over, the kids want it to be over. I am bored with the themes, I just want to spend the day letting the kids play outside in the nice weather.

This week we did sports as the theme. Tomorrow we will only have 3 kids here instead of 6, and 2 of those are leaving at noon. So, I'm hopping over to the grade school during nap time while my husband watches the napping infant. Then it's Memorial Day weekend - 3 days off.

Next week we have 4 days, the week after that one child's last day is Wednesday, two kids' last day is Thursday. That Friday and the next Monday and Tuesday I have the last two full time kids left and we will do field trips with my own kids cause they are out of school. The 10th and 11th I have the last two days till fall for my part timer, thinking more field trips with my kids those days. It's hard to believe that literally 2 more weeks of full time kids, then one week of field trips and then I will be off for 2 full months.
