the cutest phone call ever!
The phone rang tonight, it was a tiny little voice.
phone - "Who is this?"
me - "who are you trying to call?" (I have 2 young kids, so it may have been for them.)
phone - "Miss Nora, is that you?"
It was J, the boy who had been here for 5 1/2 yrs and is going to kindergarten in the fall. His mom didn't know he called me, he had memorized my phone number! He just wanted to let me know that they accidentally had a toy of mine at his house, and to see how I was and tell me he loved me. It was so sweet, especially his kisses at the end. I was laughing so hard when I finally got to talk to his mom and she had no idea who he was on the phone with or anything.
This same boy once called 911. His mom was sick and I went to their house to pick them up cause they were my only kids that day. While I was talking to his mom, he decided to try out those new phone skills by dialing 911. We had a little talk about when you should call, and having your mom a little sick and your daycare provider right there to help was not one of those times!
I'll miss him so much...
